I had to take over a departments Access database when thier Access experience member left the company.

The creator made a Form that was whose record source is a Table. but i wanted to switch the form to base off of a query that used the same fields from the table that it is currently based from so i can include a criteria of Is Null to a specific field and reduce the amount of records from 10000+ to less than 100

I created the query but when i went to change the recordsource from the Table to the query every time i open the form access crashs (closes) with no error message. but when i switch it back to the table it works like it did before i started this process

Is what im doing possible to do? if so what options and i neglecting to change?

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
Should be no issue.
Copy relevant objects to a new db and try there. If that works, copy the other objects as well.
Could try a compact and repair first after making a backup.
