surface graphs help!

Is Excel capable of producing 2D isoline curves, upon inputing a set of x,y data, such as in a lighting survey [where lux values are measured at grid intersections] ?
I have tried using the surface graphs feature in MS Excel, however that only plots ranges of values, rather than lines joining values at set intervals.

Hi Alex,

Actually, the surface graphs feature, if you pick the Contour or Wireframe Contour Chart Type options, DOES produce isoline curves. The legend will show ranges, but the lines that define the boundaries between ranges ARE isoline curves. For example, the line that represents the boundary between a z-value from 1.0-2.0 and 2.0-3.0 is an isoline whose z-value is 2.0. The only problem is getting the lines labelled like a topo map rather than with the legend. I have been labelling them (with small filled textboxes) manually, not having found any way to do it with a macro.
