floating buttons..

I have recorded a macro which chooses a cell and pastes it on another sheet. I have assigned this macro to a button which i placed on the sheet. Since i have a lot of data i have to move around the sheet i lose the button and have to press cntrl+letter to invoke the macro. Is there a way where the button "floats" regardless where I have moved on the sheet?

How about a custom macro button on your toolbar?

tried that but no good

Did that but it's too small up there, I need a rather medium size block or blob which just "floats".

Re: tried that but no good

Buttons don't "float", that's why there are toolbars.

You could sacrifice a column and/or some rows with freeze pane and put your large button within the frozen panes, alas this reduces your visible area somewhat....

Of course, you could create several buttons around the project, all of which start the same macor; or you could just create a keystroke shortcut (go to the list of macros, highlight the one you want, select "Options", and enter the shortcut; I normally start with a capital Z).
