Data Validation problem

Dan tried to help - thanks - but to no avail.

I have a columnar list that I add to daily. Some of the new entries might already have been entered previously so thanks to Tip 008 using Data Validation I was able to add only unique entries. Unfortunately for some reason the process now says that every new entry in non-unique...although it is!

I checked Help and none of the problems suggested applied.

Anyone have an idea as to what happened or how to fix.

I have even tried removing the Data Validation and re-entering the formula. No help.

How is your data organized ? what type ? what's your current formula ?

Juan Pablo, Aladin emailed me, provided a solution, and I have not looked back to this thread to follow-up.

Aladin's solution is the one provided most recently to Paul on the 19th.

I posted again because of the cabeat answer as a possible reason.
