Akuini

Macro to create searchable data validation+combobox

Any update on my requests Akuini?
Sorry, for the really late reply. :(
Are you still looking for the solution?
I have time to revisit the code this week.

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
How can I make this work without .NET 3.5? We have .NET 4.0 and I can't install 3.5 on all users machines.

Which version of searchable combobox are you using? version A,B or C?
I can amend the code so you don't need to install NET 3.5.
Do all users machines use Excel 365 or later? If so then I will use the new SORT function.

I was trying to get version B working. Yes, all users are on Excel 365 or later. Thanks!

Ok, try this new version of VERSION B - ACTIVATED AUTOMATICALLY, works on Excel 365 or later:
You don't need to install Net Framework 3.5.
It uses the new SORT function.

New feature:
- clicking an item in the combobox will also send the value to the cell.

You're welcome.
And if you're interested, you can also have autocomplete/searchable functionality by using a free Excel add-in called "Search deList". You can find it here:
By using this add-in you don't need to have macro in your workbook to have this searchable combobox.
