Zeros at the beginning of a record

I am trying to copy a list of numbers from notepad to Excel. Myy problem is that when I paste into Excel, it doesn't keep the zeros at the beginning of the number, which I need it to do. 00670395889 copies to excel as 670395889. Any help would be appreciated.

Format the receiving cell(s) as Text before you
Paste.
