small excel problem

we work with win98.since some days i am not asked to save any amendments or additions when closing an excel sheet. so the sheet closes without saving my inputs. what has happened?
it would be very nice if i could receive a reply from you.

Don't know why Excel is not prompting you to save changes, but since you know that changes need to be saved, why not just do a SAVE (or RESAVE)when you are done? It sounds as though you know that you need to do a save to keep any changes, so just do it!
